Each year we attend an increasing number of Oxford City weddings, perhaps it's the Morse connection with the car. Typically these weddings involve one of the historic colleges and David and Galina's was no exception. Thames Themed Wedding
10:51am - Jul 25, 2011
One of the weddings we provided cars for this weekend was James and Claire's who were married at St Mary's Streatley. Claire was collected from her Father's house in Goring-on-Thames, the Church is across the river in Streatley. After the ceremony they posed for photos by the river before our Daimler conveyed them to the riverside venue, the Beetle and Wedge where they held their reception.
Old Luxters Barn Wedding
10:28am - Jul 18, 2011
Many thanks to Sarah and Wayne for the great testimonial following their wedding on June 25th. Sarah's mum lives right next door to the church in Lane End so instead of the intended short drive round the village before dropping them of at the church they decided to walk as it was such a nice day. As you can see from the photo the church is located at the end of a track which made for exciting times when the Champagne was poured.
The reception was held at Old Luxters Barn, Hambleden.
Windsor Guild Hall Wedding Surprise
8:01am - Jul 16, 2011
Anna & Jim married at Windsor Guild Hall Friday and Bride Anna had a surprise waiting when she walked out of the Hotel to travel to the ceremony. Instead of her brother Sam's Volvo she found our Silver Grey MK2 waiting for her which had been organised secretly by Sam. As is usual at the Guild Hall, the car attracted many tourists and their cameras. After the ceremony we drove up to the Long Walk for photos before returning to their Hotel for the reception.
Waddesdon Manor Wedding

Our 1962 Jaguar Mk2 was the Bridal Car for Lynette and Rob's wedding at The Dairy, Waddesdon Manor near Aylesbury last Saturday. After the ceremony in the Dairy, which is a very pretty location we drove up to the beautiful manor house where they had a number of photos taken with the car. Sadly I didn't have my phone so didn't get any photos, it is a lovely venue.
Great alternative to a marquee

History of the cars we use
10:59am - Jul 1, 2011
I am often asked about the cars so here is an overview of the Jaguar MK2 and Daimler 250 History. The Jaguar MK2 was launched in October 1959 in 2.4, 3.4 and 3.8 litre forms. It was joined by the similar shaped Daimler V8 (Later renamed the 250) in 1962. The 250 was launched to take advantage of the superb light weight V8 engine used in the Daimler Dart after Daimler's acquisition by Jaguar. The light V8 engine in the Daimler out performed
Daimler gets a make over
10:38am - Jul 1, 2011
Taking advantage of a rare week without bookings I have put the Daimler in the body shop to have some minor rust spots dealt with. With classic cars the dreaded rust is a constant enemy and must be tackled early before it gets out of hand. We invest heavily in maintaining the cars in pristine condition to ensure they are among the best examples on the road. She will be back in action from July 9th. Pictures now on Flickr.
