Gypsophila in Richmond
8:20am - 12/Aug/2012
Once or twice a year we are booked for weddings in West London which is as far as we go in that direction. This weekend we were in sunny Richmond picking up Nicola from the riverside Bingham Hotel to take her to Grove House via Richmond Park for her Marriage to Chris. Nicola arranged for additional decoration on the car in the form of Gypsopila. Nice.

Ciggy break after Lillibrooke Manor Wedding
9:54am - 29/Jul/2012
Rebecca and Peter traveled from Reading to Lillibrooke Manor in Maidenhead for their wedding this weekend. As is usual at single venue weddings, the car waited for the ceremony so the couple could have some photos with the car afterwards. In this case they booked the Daimler for a little longer so they could go for a drive afterwards and enjoy a glass of Champagne. Bad habits got the better of them though and a stop for a cigarette break was called.
Hambleden Wedding for Ellie and Russ
8:44am - 28/Jul/2012

Chris and Chika's Island Wedding in Wantage
7:48am - 14/Jul/2012
Yellow was the theme for Chris & Chika's wedding at Ardington House near Wantage this week. Our Jaguar MK2 picked Chika and her parents up from Milton Hill House Hotel for the ceremony on an island in the lake behind the main house. After the ceremony we drove across the huge lawn and round to the front of the house for photos.

Gale Force Winds and Showers
5:36am - 17/Jun/2012
The weather was a major feature in this week's weddings. Jane and Stephen were married in Wokingham and the wind got the better of Jane's Veil. Martha and Neil were married in Oxford and the gale force winds buffeted us on the drive to the Great Barn at Aynho. Just as we arrived the rain added to the mix. Neither couple let Autumnal weather spoil their day.

Oxford College Wedding
12:36pm - 15/Apr/2012
We were back in Oxford this week for Claire and Simon's wedding at Lincoln College. This college is quite small and access is through a lane with a rising bollard to keep traffic out. Although the lane and college were picturesque the Jag had to be parked in a narrow alley opposite.

We don't usually do wedding fairs but we will be at the Bucks Railway Centre in Quainton on April 20th. Admission and parking is free at what should prove to be an interesting venue. If you want to give our cars the once over this is an ideal opportunity. Also performing will be our very own Allsorts Clarinet Ensemble.

Abingdon weddings this week, Lyndsay and Dan were married at Casswell House Barn, Witney. Elley and Jim married in Radley and held their reception at Steventon House Hotel. In a bizarre coincidence, Raffy who was Elley and Jim's wedding car driver also plays Saxophone for the band booked for their reception, Abingdon Swingtime, so made an encore appearance on their wedding day.

11:46am - 28/Feb/2012
After the Winter break we are about to embark on what looks to be another great season. The cars are ready to go and bookings are looking good. We still have some dates available throughout the year so drop us an email or call with your requirements. This year we have a brand new White VW 6 passenger people carrier available. Throughout the season we will be recording a selection of our weddings on the blog so keep dipping in.
That's it until March 2012
8:13am - 20/Nov/2011
You will see from the previous post that we have just completed the last wedding of the 2011 season. We do not operate the classics in the winter due to their vulnerability to salty roads and adverse weather. Thanks to all of our customers for choosing us it's been a great year. Our first wedding of 2012 is in March but we are open for enquiries and bookings throughout the winter so please call or email for a quote. We look forward to meeting all our new customers next year.

7:55am - 20/Nov/2011
Lyndsay and Karl wanted their wedding transport to be a little different, so as well as hiring our Jaguar and Daimler we also prepared and chauffeured their VW split screen camper van as the Bridal Car. The vehicles created much interest amusing passers by outside the church in Benson. After the ceremony we transported the wedding party to the reception at Bix Manor.

4:36pm - 07/Oct/2011
James and Tamsin booked our Daimler for their wedding in the pretty village of Turville near Henley. Turville has been the location for many films and TV shows. The church they were married in was the one used in the Vicar of Dibley and the pub next door, the Bull & Butcher where they held their reception has also appeared in numerous productions including Midsomer Murders.
On top of the hill that overlooks the village is the windmill featured in the classic film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Another hidden Church, Clewer near Windsor
8:15am - 18/Sep/2011
Just outside Windsor off the busy A308 Maidenhead to Windsor Road lies the tiny village of Clewer. We provided Paul & Suzanne with our Jaguar MK2 for their Blue themed wedding at this pretty church. Paul knows his Jags, as well as owning a modern one he is a model and prop maker for film and TV and worked on the Morse series which featured a Jaguar MK2. The reception was held at Savill Gardens at Englefield Green.

Over the years we've noticed that just as every churchyard has a Yew tree, many churches have a pub next to or opposite them. Very useful for early arriving guests. This is the first in a series of such churches as and when we stumble across them.

Christ Church Cathedral Oxford Wedding
9:12am - 28/Aug/2011
Each year we attend an increasing number of Oxford City weddings, perhaps it's the Morse connection with the car. Typically these weddings involve one of the historic colleges and David and Galina's was no exception. If you ever wonder whether it's worth hiring a wedding car because you live so close to the venue this should give you encouragement. David and Galina live at Christ Church and their wedding and reception were also at

Car Swap at Hambleden Wedding
8:02am - 25/Aug/2011
We provided three vehicles for Rachel and David's midweek wedding in Hambleden. Rachel traveled to the church in our Daimler but on advice it was a sportier option, they decided to travel to the reception at Bix Manor in the Jaguar. We drove through the beautiful Chiltern Hills which surround Hambleden stopping at a bench on a hill near Skirmett where Rachel and David enjoyed the view and a glass of Champagne.

Last weekend we provided our Jaguar Mk2 for Bethany and Simon's wedding at Holy Trinity Church Henley. This pretty church is tucked away up a small lane off Greys Road, it's off the tourist trail and probably unknown to many residents. This was only the second wedding we have covered at this location. If you get the chance wander up and take a look, it's a lovely quiet location in the middle of town.

Sporty Wedding at Waltham St. Lawrence
8:56am - 14/Aug/2011

This weekend we provided our Jaguar and Daimler for Nicky and George's wedding at Waltham St Lawrence. The wedding had a particular sporty theme as their friends created an arch using Lacrosse Sticks and Cycle Wheels reflecting the Bride and Groom's sporting passions.

Drinkers outside the lovely Old Bell Inn next to the church had plenty to watch, in addition to the arrival of the wedding cars, the crew of an old steam traction engine had st

Sharon and Sam were married at St Peter's Church Marlow this week. Earlier this year we provided two vehicles, including our Silver Grey Jaguar Mk2, for Louise and Edward's wedding. They have been kind enough to send me some of the photos with the car. The marriage was at All Saint's Church Swallowfield and the reception at Warbrook House, Eversley.
